I am sure some of you are wondering how long does gastritis take to heal?  I have a somewhat complex answer for you that you probably will not want to hear. If I am being completely honest I will tell you that there is no way to tell for sure how long it will take. I have a very odd story to tell you right now. So sit back and listen to what I have to say about this subject.

When I was about 19 I noticed some pretty horrible pain in my stomach. At first I really thought nothing of it because I had a very big drinking problem at the time and thought maybe it had something to do with my alcohol intake. But I stopped drinking so that the pain would go away. After weeks of not drinking I still noticed that my pain was really bad. It was actually getting worse and it seemed to get worse after I ate. That is when I made a decision to go to a doctor. After a couple of doctors visits I was diagnosed with gastritis. My very first question that i asked my doctor was how long does gastritis take to heal? I did not really have time for something like this because I was working a very hard job and I could not handle the pain.

After I asked my doctor how long it would take I was told that it could take anywhere from a couple months to a couple of years. Or possibly even never. After I heard that I was actually crying in the doctors office because I knew that I could not handle something like this for any longer. It was starting to cripple me and make me feel worthless. Luckily for me the doctor ended up up giving me a couple of directions to healing my gastritis. Sold diet, exercise and medication was all I was given.

So I stuck to my exercise routine and my eating routines as well. I continued to use all of the medications that my doctors gave me. It had been almost four months and I had not seen very much improvement. I was just still asking myself, "how long does gastritis take to heal? I can't handle this anymore I want out!" I just kept doing my routines and about three months later I really started to notice a massive difference in my symptoms. I really started to notice that my pain was starting to go away and I had stopped vomiting and my nausea was pretty my gone as well.

I guess sticking to it is what you need to do. There is nothing really to it other than that. So all I can tell you is to not give up no matter how horrible it feels. You will never overcome something or accomplish something by quitting halfway through.

Remember to drink clean water every day this was a huge change for me and it was the best change. I got myself a faucet water filter and my water is much cleaner and healthier. The water I drink now helps greatly with my gastritis. Go get yourself a water filter.
